The Dallas Cowboys are fortunate enough to have one of the best kickers in the entire NFL.  Dan Bailey (a.k.a “Mr. Automatic”) is in fact one of the most accurate kickers in NFL history!  I never feel uneasy watching him attempt a field goal.  Whether it is a chip shot in the first quarter or a clutch game winner with no time left on the clock, he always seems to come through.

Handling the punting duties is the super athletic Chris Jones.  He is a former Quarterback, Running Back and Wide Receiver in high school as per K.D Drummond of CowboysWire.usatoday.com. http://cowboyswire.usatoday.com/2017/08/09/dallas-cowboys-chris-jones-contract-dan-bailey/.  Drummond also points out that Jones ran a 4.6 second 40 yard dash at his college pro day.  It is that athleticism that allows him to make plays like this one from last season when he lays out Lions returner Andre Roberts.

That play immortalized Jones in Cowboys lore for many years to come.

In the return game the Cowboys should get a major upgrade in the form of rookie WR Ryan Switzer.  Switzer missed the entire preseason with hamstring issues but take a look at some of his college highlights to see what kind of return ability this kid has.

With Bailey and Jones signed long term and Switzer playing under his rookie contract, one thing is for certain;  Special Teams promises to be a position of strength for the Dallas Cowboys for the next several years.
