Halfway into the 2019 season, one question remains unanswered “Will the Dallas Cowboys win the NFC East?” Since the beginning of the offseason most fans, experts, and pundits have debated fiercely over which team, the Dallas Cowboys or the Philadelphia Eagles, would accomplish that feat. The Cowboys appeared to have taken a strangle hold over the division when they trounced the Eagles 3 weeks ago by a score of 37-10. However, after recovering from a slow start and beating the Giants on Monday night, the Cowboys only hold a .5 game lead over their division rivals. Should Cowboy fans feel confident about their chances? If so, how many of them be willing to put their money where their mouth is?

Legalized sports betting is multi-billion dollar industry today and countless dollars continue to be wagered over which team, the Dallas Cowboys or the Philadelphia Eagles, will win the NFC East division. Here are some basic guidelines on How to bet on the Dallas Cowboys including their odds to win the Super Bowl and some interesting prop bet suggestions for Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott. Currently, the division leading Cowboys are slight favorites to win the NFC East but should they be? As mentioned previously, the Cowboys hold a .5 game lead and they also have one game in hand but here is a preview of their remaining schedule: Vikings, @ Lions, @NE, Bills, @Bears, Rams, @Eagles, Redskins. Meanwhile the Eagles schedule breaks down like this: Patriots, Seahawks, @Dolphins, Giants, @Redskins, Cowboys, @Giants. The Cowboys have a difficult stretch of road games and seeing as they lost to the Jets on the road, none of those games can be taken for granted. Further to the disadvantage of the Cowboys is that they have just begun a stretch of 5 games within a 24 day time frame while the Eagles will have a bye week to prepare for the defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots. Here is a preview of how that schedule could play out hypothetically for both the Cowboys and Eagles:

WeekCOWBOYSEAGLES
10Vikings (Loss)Bye Week
11@Lions (Win)Patriots (Loss)
12@Patriots (Loss)Seahawks (Loss)
13Bills (Win)@Dolphins (Win)
14@Bears (Win)Giants (Win)
15Rams (Loss)@Redskins (Win)
16@Eagles (Loss)Cowboys (Win)
17Redskins (Win)@Giants (Win)
Record (Final record)4-4 (10-6)5-2 (10-6)

In this scenario, even if the Eagles beat Dallas in week 16, the Cowboys would still win the division tiebreaker. That is of course unless the Eagles blew out the Cowboys worse than the Cowboys blew them out in week 7. That said, one single upset by the Eagles or against the Cowboys could result in the Eagles winning the division out right. Ultimately, if they manage to beat the Eagles in Philadelphia, than it is a virtual guarantee that the Dallas Cowboys win the NFC East. Either way, I’ve got my money on the Cowboys.
