Win, Lose, or Draw This is still Jerry’$ world.

Dallas Cowboys fans have become a tragic lot. We have put up with mediocre results over the past quarter of a decade. We are so far removed from the dynasty days of Emmitt Smith, Troy Aikman, and Michael Irvin that there is an entire generation of Cowboys supporters who have not even witnessed their team play in an NFC championship game. In fact, the Dallas Cowboys are among a small handful of teams that have not participated in a conference championship game in the last 25 years which includes The Washington Football Team, Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, Miami Dolphins, Cincinnati Bengals, and Cleveland Browns. Not exactly the kind of company that you would want to keep. Yet, in spite of the struggles on the field, Jerry Jones and co. have been making money hand over fist, year after year, without fail. So much money over the past quarter century, that the Dallas Cowboys have become the most valuable sports franchise in the entire world. Worse still, no matter how long the championship drought endures, Dallas Cowboys fans keep coming back and investing their hard earned dollars into an organisation that continually fails to reward them for their contributions.

There is no sign of the revenue stream slowing down either. In a recent analysis of revenue data, Bookies.com has forecasted the future finances for all 32 NFL teams to reveal how much each one will earn over the the next five years. Here is a look at the results:

So in the midst of a global pandemic, and despite finishing with a 6-10 record in 2020, the Dallas Cowboys stood head and shoulders above any other franchise in the NFL with nearly $1 billion earned last season. Projections for 2025 see the club’s revenue exploding far beyond the billion-dollar barrier while leaving every other franchise in the dust in comparison. With that kind of revenue streaming in, what extra motivation do Jerry Jones and the rest of the Cowboys front office really have to improve the product on the football field?

This isn’t exactly ground breaking news for Dallas Cowboys fans. We have known this all along and still we keep coming in droves. We show up to games all over the country, buy jersey’s, clothing, and accessories, and we keep tuning it, making the Dallas Cowboys the main event for prime time football no matter who they play. We all know that Jerry Jones wants to win another Super Bowl but we also know that he is not desperate to win one at all costs. Jerry has three rings, a hall of fame bust, and by far the most valuable sports franchise on the planet. What does he have to prove to anybody?

So a word of warning to all my fellow Dallas Cowboys fans out there in case you do not already know. Whatever fate befalls the 2021 Dallas Cowboys, whether that be victory or defeat, the only guarantee that you can bank on is that Jerry Jones bank account is going to grow substantially bigger.
